Growing up we had a 24' Terry trailer w/ a rear bath. Never had any problems with it. Once in awhile might have a small medicine bottle or something fall out of the medicince cabinet when you open the door.

We traded the Terry for a 30' Dutchmen w/ a rear bath. Never had any problems with it. Once in awhile might have a small medicine bottle or something fall out of the medicine cabinet when you open the door.

My wife and I bought a 28' Scotty and refurbed it. It had a side bath. Didn't use it but once, but I knew the camper the previous 23 years of its life. Never had any problem with the bathroom. Once in awhile migh have a small medicine bottle or something fall out of the medicine cabinet when you open the door.

Now we have a Jayco 32BHDS w/ a side bath. Haven't had any problems with it. Once in awhile might have a small medicine bottle or something fall out of the medicine cabinet when you open the door.

Notice a pattern here?

I have a front living, mid kitchen, rear bath/bed model. I have pulled it about 100,000 miles with no problems. Configuration isn't the problem, it's how its packed. I upgraded all my cabinet hardware so it doesn't come open, and mod'ed my closet with shelves so everything is folded, not hung. I'm sure newer models have better cabinet catches and such. My fresh tank is up front, so when its filled and the gray/black tanks are empty, I load more to the rear, and then reverse if I can't dump my tanks before heading home.

We have a rear bath and just love it.....Makes the trailer feel so open and large. The only thing I pick up once in awhile is our trash can...Which sits in the middle of the TT.

I'm the one who posted about the rear kitchen. . .

My past few TT's have all had a rear bathroom. My current one has the bathroom on one side, the bed on the other. As previously stated the bed is a pain to make up, a real big pain. Once made, it's rather cozy & comfy. I have to climb on the bed to access the overhead cabinets.

Now as for the bathroom, I frequently have to retrieve stuff out of the tub that falls off the wire racks from above. No big deal, really.
I am now used to all the contents of my bathroom sink vanity being scrambled. It happens every time. It's kinda become a game, - "where will I find my toothbrush this time?" I had to retrieve it out of the sink drain once ugh!

I once left water in the bowl of the toilet. . . . It found its way out all over the floor.

Towels won't stay on the smooth plastic hangers.

None of it is really a big deal.

Even my little rubber ducky bounces! Haha!

But then, my TT is an old worn out piece of junk, springs are weak, no shocks etc. A newer unit is likely ok.

I towed a Coachmen 24QB for over 40,000 miles and it had the rear bathroom with the huge hanging closet as part of it. Yes the back end does bounce around but by adding a second bar above the existing hanger bar to prevent hangers from bouncing off of the rack and I never had another problem with it. Just be careful when you open the medicine cabinet.

For what it's worth, Mine was an 03 model and still had the old leaf spring suspension. I SUSPECT the newer ones now being built by Forest River have changed to the rubber ride suspension which is FAR superior to the old leaf springs so the problem may be moot.

We have the rear bathroom and the only issue we have is when the slide out is closed I cant get into the bathroom. Kind of a pain but as long as your battery is in good shape you can open and close it when your away, such as at the dump station.

My 2 cents.

I have a Bullet 246RBS. The bath is huge. I really like that. Plus when the slide is in, use the back door to get to the bathroom. Now to your question. Nothing in the bath bounces around. It holds great. One problem I have is...weight. My trailer seems to like alot of weight on the hitch or I get a little sway. If I ever pull it with full grey and black tanks its no fun. Luckily for me that is not an issue so far. I can dump grey water where I camp and dump the black at the closest dump station. I also try to always tow with full fresh water tank.

We have a Jayco 28 BHS with a rear bathroom. No problems or issues. Plus our trailer still gives us access with the slide out in. I am surprised your bouncing around so much. We have some of the bounciest highways around (255 is a killer) which we have to drive on to get out of the area and everything is pretty much where we put it when we left.

I've had three trailers with rear bath - current trailer has rear kitchen. It's all in how you pack everything. If you pack it right, you'll not have any problems with either set-up. We've pulled these trailers all over the country and not had any issues. Go with the floorplan you want and pack it tight - you'll be fine.

We have a 07 Flagstaff 829RGSS with a large bath at the rear. We love it. Just me and the DW. We don't have any problems with things in the bath moving around. Before this one we had a Flagstaff FB23. It also had a rear bath. No very big and no slide in the living space. Both had the torsion type suspension rather than the leaf spring.
