Just finished our own "in use" test of toilet paper used in our motorhome. Only thing scientific about the test is the same two people are involved using the same motorhome. We have used Scott single ply for years but DW complained that it felt too "harsh" for her. This spring and summer we have used different papers to test which was best for us. We used 8 rolls of Camco rv paper followed by 8 rolls of Angel Soft, followed by 8 rolls of Scott "fast dissolving" paper "designed for rvs and boats". Based on DW "feel good" test the Scott special paper was best (and I admit it feels much better than the Scott single ply in use). Based on my observation through the clear exit section on the black tank, I felt Angel Soft left more "clumps" and the Camco paper the fewest. All four would be acceptable in my opinion from a tank emptying standpoint. We decided to stay with the Scott "Fast Dissolving" paper from a comfort standpoint. We buy at Wal-Mart - sure we pay more than the Scott single ply, but not a budget buster for us. Besides DW comfort is worth any price.

Yup. Here's a link: Clicky

You can test it yourself if you've got some. Just put a square of the TP into a clear glass of water and stir it after a few minutes.

That's what we use. Never a problem.

Good question for "Do it Yourself",, not sure I want any one else to do this.
LOL I just didn't know where else to post the question!

Well, it looks like others have put some "deep thought" into this too, so I think I will look to use just the cheap stuff we have at home (Kirkland/Costco brand)!

LOL... I'm only pulling your leg. In fact this is a good discussion. Amazing how much they get for the "RV Paper".

X2 We use it in the motorhome and the S&B with a septic tank. Never had a problem with either one. Charmin Ultra passes the shake test easily.

Put a product on the shelf with a little spin behind it and someone (suckers???) will buy it.

I did it once also and compared it to the RV store stuff that I received when I purchased the trailer.

I swirled one sheet of each in a jar of water and the Kirkland broke up faster and more completely than the RV paper. So that's all I've ever used in the trailer.

Well I'm convinced. I just told the DW that we will be able to take that Mediterranean trip we've wanted to do in about 50 years with all the money we're gonna save! lol Seriously, every little bit helps. Thanks guys for sharing all your analytics!
