My grey and my black drains are the same size. If the grey is fuller than the black, the pressure will only allow the grey into the black ( for the most part ). I prefer to just drain the grey into a bucket and dump it in an outhouse ( after checking with the camp host ) or down the toilet and into my black tank.

Late at night slip out and drain grey water out a long hose. If you plan this right and rain is in the forecast you are good to go. No incriminating evidence left.

rpa91-
There is another thread on this forum about "camping courtesy". I submit that dumping grey water on a campsite is not being courteous. If it is a private campground, it is probably against their rules. If it is a public campground, it is probably against their rules. Like I teach my kids, just because you don't agree with the rules doesn't allow you to break them. The fact that you would want to do it at night and before a rain to 'eliminate the evidence' indicates that you know it is wrong. If I was your neighbor and you saw me dump my grey tank on your front lawn after every trip, would you thank me for the water, call the cops, or fire a shot at me?

If the grey level is higher than the black I open the grey valve then open the black. You can hear the flow. I dont let it go long enough for the flow to stop. close the black then the grey. When I dump at the station I open the twist on valve first and out comes about a gallon maybe half a gallon of grey no black. Then continue as normal. Can also back wash black tank after it is empty with the grey.

I submit that anyone using an RV who can't, or won't keep track of his tanks, and doesn't dump contents where it belongs, doesn't belong out there in the first place...
