Slippers and one pair for each of us, even while snowbirding. Beside our chairs, either slippers or shoes depending on what we happen to be wearing. We see no reason to take a truckload of them.

well, we only have two-pairs of shoes each...sandals and sneakers. one pair on our feet and the other in the closet. how many pairs of shoes do you plan to carry? if wherever we want to go for dinner, etc. won't let us in wearing sneakers then we probably don't want to go there in the first place. over the years we've come up with 10-rules to fine dining. the top rule is...if the wait staff is dressed better than us the place is probably too fancy for us.

a restaurant may be too fancy if...

10: The water glasses have stems

9: The table has an actual tablecloth (a laminated table top with a red and white checkerboard pattern is best)

8: The napkins are made from cloth

7: The menus do not have pictures of the food

6: The ketchup and mustard are not in plastic squeeze bottles

5: There is no chalkboard by the entrance listing the Daily Specials

4: The word 'Restaurant' is spelled with an 'e" at the end.

3: Something other than country music is playing on the jukebox.

2: There are more than three pieces of silverware at each seat.

And the most important rule: A restaurant is way too fancy for us if ...the wait staff is dressed better than us.

slightly off-topic, but I bought some slip-ons, brand name Margaritaville, for use in and around the campsite. I just hate dealing with laces ehen camping!

Anyway, if you see that brand somewhere, I encourage you to try them on. They may be the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. My intention was to leave them in the trailer, but I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery, and I can just step into them, yet they seem to give good support . . .

Boot Tray from Home Improvement Catalog
Haven't bought this boot tray yet, but it would be perfect under the bench seat in our TH. If I don't like it in the TH, we can definitely use it in the house.

Our queen bed has a drawer underneath on each side of the bed and I use my drawer for my shoes. I bring several pairs as well. I can fit a couple pair of sneakers, a couple pair of flip flops, hiking shoes and slippers in there.
