A couple of years ago I was Fly Fishing in the Fire Hole River in Y.S.N.P., the water suddenly got muddy and I turned to see 3 Buffalo had joined me just up-stream. Slowly, I left the water and retreated to my truck. (Better safe than sorry)
On that same trip I watched one of those great shaggy beast butt it's head against the side of a couple's Honda in Lamar Valley.
(I don't know what set it off)
More than a few 'Tourist' remind you of ('Clark Griswald').
I spent almost as much time watching people as the wild life.

I've been to Y.S.N.P. two times and plan to go again.

We were at YNP a few years ago and got to see our share of ultimate stupidity: a bison walking through a thermal area very close to the boardwalk, people(and their children) were actually petting it; a very large male elk with about 100 points(I exaggerate only a little, haha)acommpanied by many females and people surrounding him taking pictures in the sunset; an adult human trying to catch up with a coyote who was walking through Fishing Bridge CG; about 10 cars & trucks stopped to look at a small herd of bison standing on the side of the road--surprise! one of them charged and you never saw people run away so fast.

You can't fix stupid...
