We booked our winter site about two months ago. I think there was only one site left for the extended stay sites with furr kids. We will be there in Dec and stay thru Mar. We were there in 2007 and enjoyed our stay. Hope to see you there, we will be in a Mobile Suites pulled by a Freightliner. GBY.....

The park we stay at in Mesa was already 95% booked when we made our reservation for next year. That was in March of this year.

Cancellations usually start in October and November. If you find out the park you really wanted is currently full.

We are but 2 years into the Snowbird thing and feel we have a long way to go before we would lock ourseve into a CG.
We have found some really good ones so far and really like the idea of a month here and a month there, more friends, more places, more fun!!!

I have noticed many RV Parks will say they are nearly full in order to get you to commit to reservations when in reality they may have many sites open all Winter. However the really deluxe parks, regardless of costs and the bargain parks tend to fill first.

I can only tell you that in all the parks in Rockport, it seems (the nicer ones) are really filling fast. The one Im in is already full and they have almost 200 sites. I checked several others in the area, the nice ones that is, and they are 99 percent booked.

Maybe it will be a good year for the parks. Some in the RGV seemed to be struggling last winter.

No lock here. Another beauty of ownership -- since we bought in a prime location -- is that we can rent it out, and have the freedom to stay (for $121 per month taxes & maintenance), or roam on the renters' dime.
