Please advise us how Venture Out compares price-wise to the others.

We looked at Bluewater. It was lovely, but we chose Boyds because it was on Stock Island so close to Key West.We could drive in for the day or evening evening and didn't have to drive 30 miles to get back to camp. Staff is great. Little Mexican restaurant nearby has best salsa ever. Our destination was Key West, and the campground was the venue to get there. Also be sure to see Cat Man (Flying House Cats) on the square in front of the Hilton. You won't see that anywhere else.

BWK is at mile marker 14.4 so 30 miles is a bit inaccurate. I drove thru and toured Boyd's while we where there last winter. Lets be fair.....you can't even compare the two. Boyd's certainly is the closest to key west but we wanted a true RESORT to come back to when the days activities where done. Compare the price and then compare the campground and I guarantee you the conclusion will be that the difference is well worth it.

Please advise us how Venture Out compares price-wise to the others. Have been to both and the price may be a little better at Venture Out, but there is no comparison between the two. Venture out is over a 1000 sites with one entrance and mostly park model type places. I would pay the small difference, to be 10 miles closer and in a true RV resort, not a park model community.

Ditto here, we actually reserved at Boyd's then did further research and read about cramped sites, ended up canceling and reserving at BWK (it was $10 more a night for a waterfront site. When were were there we drove through Boyd's and were glad we made the decision to stay at BWK. Boyd's was really tight. We were there for 4th of July this year. BWK was very much worth it to us.

If you happen to be retired military, Sigsbee in Key West is another choice.
