Blue Water Key is by far the nicest, cleanest, prettiest campground in the keys! We've been to several and none compare.

We spent a week down there in June, we were on the road for a month, great trip. We stayed at Bluewater Key, we drove past the other spots we had considered, they looked like gravel parking lots compared to Bluewater.
We rented thru bluewaterkey.net and got site #81. I promise you, you will not be disappointed if you stay here. The tiki hut is huge, with cable tv, freezer, fridge, and gas bbq grill, and it's own wifi router.
Here's a couple of pics:

Now you can see why BWK is the best in the keys. It is a bit pricey but worth it.

Check out Blue Water Key and check for yourself.

I'm giving Jolly Roger Travel Park a try around Easter.

BWK is the nicest hands down. It is out of my price range but worth it if you can swing it.

Another vote for Blue Water Key Resort. We booked in for two weeks & loved every moment. Yes, it was a bit pricy but soooo close to Key West. Found a place called Geiger Key Marina on the way into Key West, best fish sandwich in the keys & live band too. Left the toad at home, bus service right at the door into KW every half hour.

I totally agree. Bluewater Key is nice but just too expensive. You can stay for 1/2 the price at Venture Out and you are only 8 miles further from Key West.

Thanks for the replies. Bluewater Key really looks nice and the price isn't that bad if you stay 5 days----especially considering the amenities and location. I'm going to check out Venture Out too and see what their prices are. Their website didn't have a lot of info.
