I am hooked up. Found hooking up to be less distracting when it's not the very last thing to be done.

OK, so what do you guys do about putting the slides out before the trailer is leveled? Is it OK for them to be out while the trailer is being disconnected?
Dee
(There is sooo much to try to remember while learning!) We've been on 6+/- trips now and setting up is less than 5 minutes....taking down quite a bit more. Trying to keep Capt. Joe busy while I clean and pack has become the biggest chore!!

On the morning of departure the first thing is to get the TV antenae down, then help DW get the inside secured, then run the slides in. I dump all tanks then unhook the water line and cable coax if we have it
then hook up the 5er. After I'm hooked up I then remove the eletrical cord, put all wheel chocks in the storage compartments. When the DW gets back from walking the dog we are ready to roll..
I have always been leary of moving the 5er with the slides out because of the possibilty of racking the slides and hitching up you will move the 5er if only slightly.. Right or wrong this works for me.. T-10

20 min...... Dan, can I borrow your wife.

Dee, it's funny how quickly camp can be set up. Everybody helps out, kind of like putting up the Christmas tree. When its time to break camp its a different story! Which is why I quit buying live Christmas trees.

I'll put them out while hooked up but I put the landing jacks down until the slides are back in..more stability and less chance of issues, IMHO of course....

With us the slide is the last to come in. Just warn DW when you are going to hitch up. The 'bump' can be startling if not ready for it
And we sometimes do not unhook when stopping just overnight.

The first thing we do when setting up a campsite is level side to side. After that anything is ready to go in the setup process. Since the side to side is still in place for hitch up it doesn't matter when we hookup for leaving the camp.
