Well the KOA in West Glacier has unisex handicap equipped restrooms. They have 2.
Dh wonders about this also...
Right now I usually go so I can take DD in and assit her. She is almost 12 and is mobile, but with her other disabilities and function level she has to have full assistance. She can not manage in the bathroom on her own.
If he ever takes the kids without me... I have told him he could put a blinder on her and take her in if there is not a unisex bathroom.
Then I also wonder..here in Washington I have seen many signs that say something along the lines of a person/caregiver of the opposite sex can enter the bathroom and assit. Maybe you could stand outside the door and then he calls..just open the door a little..and say "wife coming in to assist husband"

IMHO it is very simple and easy. Get a sign made that says you and your handicapped husband are both in the shower room. After checking room is empty, mens or womens, put up the sign on the door and do your thing. I'd bet money not one person in a thousand will mind, and that one person who does is an idiot and should be ignored.
Quite a few years ago my wife became physically unabhle to walk very far. She also had a little trouble with weight. She did not want to get a scooter because of what she thought others would think, "fat lazy slob". She had to get a scooter anyway, and you probably all know what she found. When shopping people come out of the woodwork asking if they can help. Once we came to a bridge out "walking" that was too narrow for her scooter. Folks offered to CARRY her over, scooter and all (we went another way, after thanking them a lot). Most folks, IMO, think there but for God goes me, and really try to help.
So, try the sign idea, bet it works!

I know that VA State Parks have been putting in "individual" shower rooms when building new facilities. They have just put in a new campground at Natural Tunnel State Park and their facilities are great. We have 2 children (6 and 3) and we have a bathroom in our camper, but we usually prefer to use their facilities if they are available. The individual showers allow either myself or husband to take the girls and get them squeaky clean.

Some of the Florida state parks have companion bathrooms.

Have your doctor refer you to a Occupational Therapist. They have a lot of adaptive equipment that allow people to take care of their own dressing and bathing. They have reachers which can be used for putting on underwear and pants, long handle sponges and shoe horns along with sock aids. A very simple device that helps you put on your socks. It may help buy him more time before he needs your help.
On a side note this is one of many duties that OT's do and I don't want to offend any if they are on the forum, but I am trying to give the OP and answer to her question.

JFG wrote: I don't think you will find what you are looking for at any campground. Best bet in my opinion would be to trade for an ada equipped rv... there are some available with very large bathrooms.
As I recall, there are several RV parks with unisex units out west here. Ambassador in Caldwell, ID, Blackwell Island in Coeur d'Alene (I think) and a couple of others I would have to dig around in my memory for. With a good deal of preplanning, you might be able to cover yourself on a given trip. I use RV park facilities and don't need help just yet, but your post is well received and I'm going to start making a list. BTW, I never dress in the facilities..wear nightclothes back and forth. Course I don't often go where it's very cold either.

Campground in TX, Canyon on the Eagles in the hill country, has uni-sex shower houses, or did in 07 when we went there, nice ones to. Even tho we didn't need them for what you do they were a lot larger so made it easier to dress.

Also, Pine Mountain RV Park in Pigeon Forge has individual showers and they are big enough for two people.
