I have a 2006 Cardinal LE 362BH. After a recent trip, the seal for the front bedroom slideout was damaged. I did or heard nothing out of the ordinary. After opening the sliders, I noticed the bottom wiper and the L-shaped seal across the bottom of the slider had benn pulled away in some places and was torn in other places. What are some possible causes for this and is it a fairly simple job to do yourself?

We have a 2008 Cardinal and have had the same thing happen. Lucky for us I saw it happening and got help from the "Cardinal RV Club Forum". White caulking used to hold the black seal in place can oozes out and stick to the sides and pull the black seal out of it's groove. Ours was only out part way and I was able to just roll it back into place. I used paint thinner to remove the excess caulking and I've not had any problems since.
