Finally installed the module in my system. Works as advertised. I haven't had a chance to try it with the generator yet.

The timing module is to reduce the start surge. Once running it is a small issue to then select high fan speed.

Although if I remember correct, high fan speed requires low & high to be energized so the module on low speed may well work for both.

Alas, it only works on the low fan speed. I'll have to get another if I want to use high speed too. FYI, mine is a Coleman MachIII with matching thermostat.

Man, I'm sure grateful that we have these ingenious and adventurous forum members that are willing to share! Happy Camping!

Here is another successful install (PM posted with permission)

Subject: Fan Delay on A/C

The part came in on Tuesday, and I installed it today. The most time consuming part of the project was driving to Radio Shack for the resistor.

Works great!!!! Fan has about a 4-5 second delay after the A/C start, now!

Thank you, SMKETTNER!!!

Absolutely! In fact, last evening, one of my camping buddy's stopped over. I showed him, he ordered the relay over his iPhone, on-the-spot, I gave hime one of the extra resistors (they come in a package of 5), and he's going to install his next weekend!

In my case, since I installed an AC "Supco SPP6 Solid State Relay & Hard Start Capacitor", everything works fine. No drain on the gen.

I installed the SPP6 with no luck. Apparently the OEM capacitor is fine.
I am glad it worked for you as that was my first choice.

The blower fan delay should help in all cases. A good cap and the delay together is as good as it gets.

I previously added the SPP6E, which definitely improved the situation, allowing the gen to run in economode all the time. The timing module is just frosting on the cake. It should give me more breathing room, for high elevation use for instance. Every little bit helps.

Has anyone done this recently on a Airxcel AC unit?? I have one on my 2011 Rockwood 2604, and the wiring seems different. I can post some pics if that would help ??
