On a whim, I decided to order a set and give them a try. The level indicators on our previous coach never worked.
Installed them and so far they work as advertised. Had them about 6 months now and they read true. I installed grey, black and fresh water.

I put them in & all is OK. As cheap and easy as it is to install the original style probes I'm not convinced that Horst's are economically smart. The cheap ones usually last a while before acting up and they're only a couple of bucks.

The Horst probes are well worth their cost. I have had them in for over a year and they don't foul nearly as much as the original probes.

I take it from your comment that they are not foul up free and you have to clean the probes periodically?

I installed them a year ago and all tanks are great. The galley and grey tanks work perfect. Installed a flusher on the black tank to keep the odor away last month so the study is over on how long they will work in the black tank.
Definitely a huge performance improvement over the stock probes.

The Horst probes do foul occasionally. It is hard to put a number on it, but the Horst probes require cleaning maybe 10% as often as the original ones.

A little pricey, but they work and eliminate a source of constant frustration. Make sure before you order you can get at your probes to change them out, sometimes they aren't very accessible.

I've heard mixed reviews of the Horst Probes, although the general consensus is that they do extend the time between poor readings pretty significantly. It's too bad they can't improve the basic inaccuracy of those "Empty, 1/3, 2/3 Full" indicators though. Does that 1/3 reading on the 90 fresh tank mean 30 gallons left? Or 59 gallons left...
