We are on the road in Spokane WA and I need to get an oil change. Can anybody refer a good reasonable shop for this service and approx. how much should it cost. 8.1L GM with filter. I have a 2007 Fleetwoot Bounder with a Workhorse W22 chasis.

Look into your nearest GM dealer that has a truck service center.

Any quick lube wit a large enough door can help you, I do mine myself. And should not cost any more than a normal gas truck. If you have your workhorse owner manual with you, you should give them page 152 to review. This page will show all the lube points on the chassis. While they are under the coach have them take care of the lubrications too.

Just to let you know there are 3 different filter that will fit the 8.1. You can get a 1/2 quart, 1 quart and 2 quart filter. I currently have the 1 quart filter and I am still checking the benefits of going 2 quart.

Brazel's is someplace up there and is supposedly a great Workhorse service place. They developed the grade brake and a few other improvements to the chassis. I would head there if they are anywhere near you.

Since you have a computer, Google oil change for your city or try Yellow Pages.com and start making phone calls. That's what I did and it worked.

I do not know about Washington.. but here in S.E. Michigan the best deal turned out to be a Workhorse Authorized Service Center... Believe it or not.

30 bucks cheaper than the next best deal and they did a better job too.

We have a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder with the workhorse 8.1 like you and we have our oil change done at a GMC dealership for around $113.00.
Good luck. We are heading out to the northwest next June. Sure would like to know where you have service. Thanks

x2. We just installed one of their "Ultrapower" ECM's and were impressed with their service and knowledge . We're also impressed with the performance increase with the new ECM.
