I had CW pack my bearings and after picking it up on the way home it became quickly apparent that the tt brakes were hardly working. Before taking the tt to CW, the F350 built in brake controller would lock up the tt brakes if it was set to a level of 5 out of 10. After picking it up, I could bearly get the tt brakes to work with the controller set to 10.

I called CW and they told me that the tt brakes "reset to 0 adjustment when you repack the bearings, bring it back in and we'll adjust the brakes"

Does this sound right?

Sound like a line of cr*& to me. More than likely they forgot to adjust them after putting the brake drum back on. They do need adjusting, just make sure they do not chrage you for it. It should have been part of packing the bearings.

YOu can always tell the service manager that you will post their name on this forum if they want to charge.

They could have backed off on brakes to get the hubs off.... but then they should have re-adjusted brakes when re-installed.... typical CW workmaanship. I wouldn't let them wash my rig..

They more than likely did not readjust the brakes when reassembling and I'll bet they try to charge you for adjusting.

I'd guess they also greased the shoes and will simply clean them off.

Good old CW strikes again. Makes one wonder the things they work on and you can't see, how good a job they did on those jobs.

Thanks folks....It didn't sound right to me. I'll make sure they don't charge to fix it.

Another example of the fine quality workmanship by technicians at CW. Be prepared, they probably will try to charge you for adjusting the brakes.

Had an A/C unit installed by CW. The tech/mechanic left a 4X4 foot piece of plywood on the roof of the RV. Got about 2 miles down the freeway and saw the plywood fly off the top of the RV in my mirror. Luckily it headed for the side of the road and not towards any vehicles behind me.

Don't get me started on CW... I'm sure they will take care of that for you, though.
