I would go and turn it on the day before your trip. Your battery should last at least 2-3 days. I also disconnect the battery when in storage. My big drain on the battery is the propane detector. Happy camping, John

While the fridge is as safe there as at a campground two things come to mind.
1) your going to have to level the camper same as at a camp ground
2) The Storgae lot may have a few words to say on the matter. Like leave and don't come back. If something goes wrong you not going to just lose you camper but also damage or distroy the other units park close to it. The lot I use the campers are closely pack togather. Running the fridge is not allowed

I just did a quick test on my unit. With the refrigerator running it drew 0.5 amps. The propane detector and other items that are always on including the refrigerator I had a 1.3 amp draw 0.8 amps when refrigerator turned off. So in 24 hrs you would draw approximately 30 amps hours off of the battery.

Been doing it most of our camping lives. No problems. But you only need to turn the frig on the day before you leave.
