Ainsworth is a great Park but does not take reservations so get there early. Has full hookups. Also limited spaces for large rigs but there are some pull ins. About 30 minutes into Portland. Memaloose also full hookups is well over an hour drive to Portland but can reserve and some great views. Both have train noise.

Thanks everyone for all the great info. We will probably stay in the gorge area (try and get into Aimsworth, and if we can't jump over to the KOA) and then drive and take the light rail when we want to visit Portland.
