And dealers wonder why people hate "dealing" with them. I would fight them all the way.

Quote: even the bearing repack that it didn`t need this early, should be covered by warranty if the dealer decided that what the manuf. did wasn`t good enough.
125% agree with this statement..
I would also suggest that you use a 4' hand level layed across the floor when leveling the trailer
Check the floor in front of the axles and behind the axles - as the jacks are usually on the outside corners of the trailer - they will bow the trailer at the axles (center)..
You really can not use the jacks to push the trailer sideways - as they really only push the frontside and backside of the trailer up (the sideways push needs to be from the "leveled" axles)

Personally, I don't use the stabilizers to jack anything up on the trailer. I open them until they put slight tension on the trailer frame and that is it so there should never be bowing on the frame. The shower isn't level and I agree that I will be my own handyman once the warranty is over.

Just because economic times are tough, is not a moral justification for overcharging. Honesty is not worth much when it's easy to come by. It's only when it's tough to be honest that we can see it's value.

Just called heartland and they say they weren't charged for a tank sensor repair, so it looks like I will have to pay a total of $105.00 for an hour of labor for someone to tell me my tank sensors are working and that flushing a toilet once or twice should show 2/3 full. Aside from that and the hubcap, there is no way I'm paying $91.35 for a bearing "repack" that I didn't ask for or authorize. I know they have a big giant showroom and a huge service center, but they aren't going to pad profit into my service ticket to keep their lights on.

Companies need to know consumers will not put up with their (usually) deceptive ways. I know its a one sided story, but whats that ol saying? "The customer is always right"!

Bring a tape recorder, set it on the counter before them, and record everything. Tell them in advance you are recording this so you can play it back to the judge when you have to sue them. They're just trying to rip you off. An honest shop would have called you each time they needed to do non-warranty work.

Wow, this is brutal. It makes a good case for taking pictures and video with a digital camera to demonstrate problems and make your case for faulty operation. Then you can at least show it to the service manager and say, "Do you call this correct operation?"

Rem my 1st job in retail at the ripe ole age of 14. Boss told me "the customer may be stupid, may be an idiot, may be wrong, but the customer is always right" Those were the days of mom/pop stores before the big box and the beginning of malls. They counted on repeat customers and did what it took to insure it. Now they just look at you as $$ and devise ways to seperate you from your cash. The accepted rampant greed in our society is unbeleivable, and can account for alot of the present ills in our economy. The good that may come of it all is people are alot more careful of how and where they spend their money. Amazing the difference 40 yrs makes.
Go for it and good luck. Been my unscientific observation about the only people that do not get screwed are the ones willing to 'go postal' if need be. Gotta be like that lizzard in the S/W that once it takes a bite-it won't let go
