I have the wonderful Superglide hitch, have adjusted the nut that makes sure that the hitch does not ride the rails to easily esp when not hitched BUT lately I have noticed that we are getting more bouncing and bucking then is usual. I am not new to fifthwheeling or to the Superglide hitch but wonder what people's thoughts are on this situation. Seems there is a constant mild push/pull going down the road. Maybe need to adjust the nut a little tighter on the turntable?

On ours I adjusted that Nylon spacer tight when we first bought the unit last year and have not touched it since. Our rig has a fifth airborne so maybe that is masking the feel you are experiencing but I have not noticed the problem you mention.

Adjust the bump stop a little tighter. That should cure your problem. Go a half turn at a time. Then try it. This adjustment pre-loads the carrier arm so it won't tilt forward when you stop. Then it cannot tilt backward when you start up again.

Bought my Superglide used, after cleaning and re-lubing properly, I noticed the looseness at the center position of the hitch.I snugged the adjusting bolt down untill the king pin receiver would not begin to move (to begin the sliding action)unless it was tugged on VERY hard (using the king pin release handle.I have not had any problem with bucking or hammering of the hitch.
