Hey, we are planning a trip out to the bay this weekend, with the trailers and boats, and we want to camp out(for free, not in campland) Near the beach, where we could beach the boats. I have spotted a dirt lot across from the Bahia hotel that I've seen RV's parked at and wondered if we could camp there overnight. Here are the coordinates you can punch into google maps ( 32.767784,-117.244776 ) Its around Bonita cove, off mariners way

My guess is probably not, most of the area down there has signs everywhere "NO Overnight parking or camping". I don't think you can even overnite on Fiesta Island anymore. Try this Link

San Diego has potentially some of the most anti-RV parking laws in SoCal now. The City Council was working on an ordinance on RV's. Oversize vehicles are now defined as being over 22 feet long OR over 7 feet high. There would be NO street parking between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am except by permit (Only for R.V.’s). Allotment would be 24 per year, each costing $3.50 and valid for a 72-hour duration. It was clarified that commercial vehicles fall under the OVO. I don't know if this has passed or not. Check first!

Man if you could camp for free there you would not have been able to see the beach from all the Campers
