can anyone suggest me a brand of satellite dish that performs well....

If your just looking for a dish, King Dome makes a VuCube 1000 that works very well for most satellite receivers, will even pick up 2 satellites (hi-def) Just set it anywhere you want, sort of looks like a deflated soccer ball, comes with a remote. I've seen many for sale on eBay. Check out the King Dome website.

Like many others have stated, your best bet is to run a separate cable. It's faster and can look just like the factory installation. I have found more than one splitter in my rig and of the wrong type. Total PITA!!! SEALYN has the right info on splitters going in and going out. Just make sure you buy the right type.

Im gonna apologize in advance because I just ordered direct tv for home and got a "free" rv tripod and dish. I have a 2010 keystone outback and I know it only has 1 cable connection in the rear. So I was thinking when I get all this installed and I try to hook it up in 5vr, I might turn to the good folks of this forum for advise it I cant get it to work.
How did you do this? I ordered direct TV this week and got a complete run around. Was told by the DT Move Desk to contact RV dealer to have dish installed and then cal back... The sales folks said I qualified for a free RV oackage but always got a no when I talked to "someone else"
