We just purchased a 2003 Gulfstream Class A Motorhome. It needed a lot of cleaning but looked in pretty good shape. It had the perfect floor plan and a good price. After taking posession we started cleaning her up and we found a few possible problems and some definite ones. Mainly, the windshield has a 2 finger gap in the upper drivers side and you can see that it is being held in place only by silicone. We had a glass guy come out to put it right but he said it should go to the manufacturer. The other problem is a bulge in the floor as well as a couple of bumps under the linoleum floor. These bumps are also around the large living room bump out. What are some of your thoughts as to how or what caused these items and what should I do to correct them?

The window may be related to the non-common manufacturing error of not cutting out the frame for the glass properly. Since you're in IL, you could plan a trip down to Elkhart, IN. Lots of RV repair places down there...if they're still in business that is. Duncan glass can rework the frame and reset your window(s).
Have you looked up at the floor from under the rig? Maybe you could get some insight about the bulge & bumps if you did. Is the bulge spongy? Is it under carpet? Are the bumps hard or soft? How big?

The bulge in the floor is spongie. The bumps are hard like a screw or bolt.

I would suspect that the bulges in the floor near the slide out could be caused by moisture that has gotten under the linoleum and has caused the particle board underlayment to swell. Look for any signs of a water leak in the area.
