I can run both my air conditioners with the Onan 5500. Not sure of the consumption rate though.

That's pretty interesting.
Mine shuts down in a few minutes. I called Keystone and they specifically advised me not to do that, stating that you really need the full 50 amp connection to get both AC's to work correctly.
I'm glad yours does it, but mine sure won't

Aha! Maybe mine IS wired wrong. Thanks for the tip, I'll call Keystone and have them run the VIN to see if it's one of those.
Thanks very much,

Correct, there was a discussion (search Fuzion I think it will come up) about wiring of the A/C's.
Like RapterMom, my 5500 runs both A/C as well as other items simultaneously. And being in AZ, I test it....a lot. :-)

Hold on there. They might be right as far as the fuel consumption goes.
The 5.5 kw onan in my Raptor runs about half a gallon per hour at 50% load.
BUT....I don't think your generator will run BOTH air conditioners at the same time.
I know mine won't, and Keystone says they're not intended to.
Especially at start up.
Try it and I'll bet it'll just blow the breaker on the generator.
Sorry,
Anthony
We can run both our A/C's, microwave, and watch TV all at the same time with our generator. 5500 Onan. Not sure of fuel consumption. but Generator runs great.

Hey Gitpicker,
I remember a thread recently about some Fuzion's (Keystone) that had both ac"s wired off of one leg on the generator as opposed to being split up. Probably worth a look in your breaker box in the coach.
