This is just a thank you to all of the people on all of the different forums who gave me so much help, ideas, suggestions and solutions to things I needed to do or know before heading to Alaska & Canada. We had a great time, had no problems, except for some shelf supports that gave out on some of the roads. Saw a lot of great scenery and wildlife, sea-life in sunshine, rain and cool weather. Did not matter to us. That's what memories are made from.
Did some charter fishing, caught some fish which are now in our freezer. Again had a great time, amazing trip of a lifetime and thanks for all of the help. If I can give ideas and or suggestions to anyone else contemplating the trip I will do so.

You're going to have to get that map updated.
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Glad to hear so many enjoy their visits in the far north..... I only managed to live on the road for two and a half weeks of the four weeks I had off from work this year and made the best of it, it took one week of my vacation time to do major work on the cab of my rig of torching out and welding in new cab mount brackets that were so badly needed...
The downfall of my line of work (as many other fields of work) is generally there is no time off allowed during the summer at all as many Alaskans, Yukoners, and other far north regions face this dilemna of 'seasonal work' only occuring in the summer....
Boss says take time off in the winter as my position is year round, so I started making plans to maybe enjoy a full summer as thinking I will take time off one way or another if denied approval for some kind of summer vacation, as a full time position with many long hours and no time off in quite a while has taken a toll on me, and the boss did grant me four weeks which I was grateful....Since I returning back to work, I was diagnosed with a bad case of cold shoulder by a small handful....and thats ok, I enjoyed the time off.
I envy many of you that get to cover such great distances with significant or unlimited time to enjoy all your prolonged travel destinations, as many people on this site really know their travels as we tend to take advantage of all the inside information shared by others.
