I personally would push for a refund and get what I and wife want instead of taking what they offer, if the TE III is super cool call Holman's or someone and order it or pick it up.

This is my thought right now too.

I was just checking the specs on Fuzion's website they have the 2010 398 listed as 43' and the 2011 is 42' you may want to do some research if they give you a 2011 your losing a foot of trailer.

I checked mine with a tape and it was closer to 42' then 43'.

How about option #5. I'll send my wife down there to pack your camper. She is always sure to pack everything you could ever need in any situation. I am quite sure you will not be light on the tongue weight when she is done. I'll even pay for the 1 way ticket.

Uh oh! I'm gonna tell...

Sure they do. Even auto manufactures have a repair center at the end of the line for vehicles that didn't go as planned. "Economically" is just a matter of opinion. Probably decided by some bean counter in my corporate experience. Once the word is fully out that Keystone is putting out defective designs though, it can change buyers opinions and directions. It could be easier and more economically smart to "one off" a new TEII in the parking lot for Mav . The net is a powerful tool that manufactures don't seem to realize yet oddly.

This is where I sit now. Drove 300 miles all over Colorado today and didn't find a single Keystone product that can do what my last TH could do. But I really didn't find any other brand either. I am still at a loss. I really don't want to wait, because I will miss most of this season. I'm freaking out now as it is. I miss it.

I will spend some time on the phone tomorrow trying to hammer this out with them.

Mav I know I gave you a hard time about the Heartland thing, but I really did wish you better luck here then this. Wish you were closer. We'd sick my wife on them. You'd have a custom 43' TEIII with 5 year warranty. She's mean.

I know that I don't want a re-built trailer. I do know that. My wife is kinda turned off on the whole thing. She has lost faith in the Fuzions at this point. Not sure I agree with her on that. I just wish they made one that I liked that had the same level of goodies that we came to expect.

No worries about giving me a hard time. I look at all the manufactures and then make a decision. After looking yesterday(at over 100 trailers) I can say the Fuzion has one of the best builds and quality I found. Sure it has it's ups and downs, but who doesn't.

And thanks for the offer of the wife. But I have a few nasty tricks up my sleve yet and I'm a mean SOB. Just ask my wife. So far they are working with me, but making this write by me an my wife has yet to be done.

Mav, to add to this....they need to be making your payments while this is getting resolved. just seems fair because the bottom line is this, you don't have a toy hauler to use this season because of their mistake. why make payments on something you can't use?

Playing devils advocate, because he still owns it regardless...but you bring up a good point. That's yet another reason to get it ironed out ASAP. No sense in paying on this one (98% pure interest at this point I'm sure) for another 6 months till TEIII's come out KNOWING you're going to "off it" in some fashion anyway. That money isn't going to carry you anywhere on the new one they offer.

I agree with you guys.

I just sent a detailed email to Tim at Keystone explaining that I could not accept their offers as they stand, and that it appears that the best end to this is a buy back. A complete buy back since it is so new. Purchase price, tax and registration included. I pointed out that I have justification under the Lemon Law for this and that I have been contacted by online E-magazines to write a story on my experiance. Hopefully positive when all is over. If they had a comparable trim on the new 398 that I could get now, this would be a moot point. We shall see, and hope for the best.

I truely cannot accept either of their offers as none leads to a complete guaranteed replacement of equal value or level.

I totally agree with your decision Mav. I'd want (and probably demand) better for something they admitted is wrong. Giving you less, or some cheaper model is simply NOT good customer service in my book. They need to make this right, and the right person there could - if they really wanted to. It's really just that simple.

I don't think there is any other TH with the R-value as the TEII. I have been looking for a while now.

I think I would just wait for the new TE III in Oct. Have them give you number 1 off the line and QA it to death. Work out somthing for missing a season with your RV.

If they do a buy back the new TE III will be more money then yours. You might be better off waiting and have them pay your payments until the new one is ready. Now your RV would be a liability for Keystone on the road since they have identified problems with it.

Good luck and best wishes.
