It's not a 5th-wheel, but we love our Keystone Premier. Yes, we've only had it a few months but there are certain design features and build qualities that I really do like over our old trailer.

And the floor plan is perfect for us. At first I didn't think there was as much storage inside, but while packing for a 3-week road trip for our family of 7, I discovered that there was still open cupboard space that we won't use.

The jury is still out on my '10 Springdale. In the first three months of ownership I've dealt with 2 interior plumbing related leaks and one caulking recall. The entire roof was re-caulked after noticing a large gap at the front seal of the roof. Check my older post for pics. Another user, Raypa and I have been PM'ing each other on our Keystone problems. He has a laundry list of problems with his rig.

If you do get a Keystone and it has a manufacture date between mid January and mid March it will be subject to a silent recall for defective roof caulking.

Would I buy another? Don't know, but I'm leaning more towards no. Was planning on keeping this one for 8-10yrs. I'll be lucky if I get to 2-3yrs of ownership. Looking to replace it with a Sunnybrook or KZ product.

We have a 2008 Montana. We are pleased with it but have had some issues. We have had a roof leak or slide leak for 2 years. Our local dealer has been great. That is the key to why you like any RV. Can you get your issues resolved? We are about to finally figure out what is causing the leak and get it fixed. Any RV,boat or anything FUN is nothing more than a big black hole where all your money goes. It is what it is! The major complaint I have is that somebody at Montana is so stupid to put all the kitchen on one electrical circuit. You can't use an electric coffee pot and an electric skillet to cook your bacon at the same time. Other than that we love it.

that same stupid person is at all the RV manufacturer's/ Coffee pot draws 10 amps or so and the skillet @ 12Amps. The kitchen breaker in our Montana is 15 amps,,,,pop .. Micro wave and fridge are on a seperate breaker.

springdale with my wife and 2 kids and it holds up well, minor details like having to open slide to access food in storage but I can mod that and will soon....sliding bedroom door used to come off track all the time- replaced it with pleated folding door, small clearance light leak fixed with recaulk, and that's about it in 5 years. It's paid off and continues to be a decent camper for the money. And the (shhhhhh!) luckiest thing about it? I'm still on all 4 original Chinese Nanco tires!

Our 2007 cougar 278rks has been great. Would I buy it again if looking for light weight and very good value in a 5th wheel? Yes. Is it a heavy fulltime 4 season trailer? No, but that isn't what we wanted. I have outfitted it so it has become pretty close to perfect for our style of RVing. We do touring with no more than a week in one place - some dry camping and some full hookup. No complaints at all.
I think the key to weather a trailer is working for you is do you look forward to trips with it? We certainly do.

I love my Keystone Hornet, it is comfortable, been dependable, and it was CHEAP! Is everything perfect with it?, of course not.
