Taking my wife to visit friends and I've never been to Oklahoma we need to be near Tulsa but I do not want to stay in a dump. Thanks

There aren't any 'resorts' in the area. I was out that way two years ago. Stayed in Mingo. Not a bad place in that I could park on level ground, put out the slides and hook up. But it is not a 'Campground' it is more of a place to stay for people that are working or visiting the area for a time. Recently I read that there were problems, but I had none.

That said, Tulsa is a city and like all cities, it has some really bad areas and some better places.

There is another place called Warrior off to the west side of town if I remember correctly. Not a resort, but more open than Mingo. Both have good access to the Interstates. There are also a lot of State or COE places around on the various lakes, but they all seem to be without hook-ups.

Good luck

Jim

Wow, not looking too good for us. You would think there would be one nice place.

The gossip is that the Hard Rock Casino "Cherokee" in Tulsa is going to build one that can match any of them. But for now, the Cherokee have a new RV park at the Cherokee Downs Racetrack at Claremore, Ok. Claremore is about 20 miles just east of Tulsa. Easy to get to and nice.

Depends how close to Tulsa that you want. There are nice RV parks at Grand Lake - Water's Edge & others.

It may sound silly but the fairgrounds in Tulsa has full hookups, is secure and close to stuff. It's really a large, superlarge, parking lot but has clean facilities and a laundry.here

Tulsa's KOA is not a resort by any stretch of the imagination but is not a bad park. A lot of semi-permanents there but they are in a separate area from the short term sites. Have only stopped there for one-nighters while passing through but never had any problems. Easy on-off of I44.

We were in Tulsa last month and stayed at Cherry Hills RV. It is just across the river off the Tulsa/OK City Turnpike Close to everything, Reasonable priced, Nice people running it and would stay there again.
