My 05 was an excellant 6.0 truck, but after running out of warranty and 80000, I bought a 12500 mileage 6.4 09 model. Very nice truck except previous owner really missed up the truck with add ons and screwed up the electrical. Dealer knew I had had it, and showed me the 2011s. I bought an F250, and immediately pulled 420 miles into Colorado. Really was a smooth pulling trailer. We came home to take care of some stuff and averaged about 18. Drove 420 miles without having to stop for fuel. Really no comparison between smooth and comfort going from 6.4 to 6.7.
I too wanted to wait a couple of years, but due to a missed up truck I went ahead and bought the 2011. Really nice.

I compared the pros and cons of the new 6.4 vs 6.7 trucks before I bought my new 2011 6.7 diesel. I, like texasjayco, did my home work regarding Fords commitment to finally getting the diesel monkey off it's back. 10 million miles of testing went into it's development. The 6.4 is still in the 6.0 blood line and that was a major part in my decision. I have z plan privileges. That made it simple. A few more dollars in the long run for the 6.7 but I am very pleased. 6000 miles so far, 3000 of it with my 13000# Bighorn in tow, and it pulls it like it is not there.
