I'm kinda still stuck on the first line of the op's post:

The last time I lived in Wisconsin, baring February, those aren't Winter months!!

Anyway, I would be very very concerned traveling those first 2 months over and around and anywhere near the Rockies. Be prepared for being sidelined with snows, road closings, and chains required.

If it where me I'd leave Nov and come 'back' in May when the temps start getting UNBEARABLE in AZ, TX and the like.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

UNBEARABLE heat, LOL! Purely subjective! To a full-time Arizonan anything under 70 degrees is UNBEARABLE! We head South in the Winter time because AZ is too cold.
