That could be said about an electric system, too. Minus the mess.

Most electric systems have a release lever and a place to put a wrench so you can manually deploy or retract the rooms. I said MOST electrical systems nor necessarily all. But at least you don't have to worry about leaking hydraulics. I'm not saying that hydraulic systems are bad, just that I prefer electrical.

Very enlightening. I'm glad I asked the question. What about if you are a do it yourselfer? DH can fix anything and had to fix a machine screw on our electric slide - 85 cents - can same be said for a hydraulic system?

Yes.

Repairing hydraulic systems is not brain surgery. If you can repair an electric slide you can repair a hydraulic slide.
