And for your second outing you can come join us at the Santa Maria Pines RV park. Look for two FMC motor homes and you will have a couple of good neighbors. We are coming down from up north in Dixon to visit some relatives and Paco is coming up from LA to do the same.

We can all have a good time together.

It's great that you had a wonderful first time experience. We have many like this too. But every once in a while, it may be different for you.

But I caution you. This trip you drove 15 miles to the campground. Sounds like the weather was good. And your first campground was a good one too. As were the neighbors.

Come back and report again after you have traveled a few thousand miles, bought some fuel in a crowded station, traveled a few different major highways, maybe 10 different campgrounds, a few holiday weeks like 4th of July, set up at night, and maybe experience a few rainy days, and nights. Hopefully, you'll have uneventful wonderful trips like your first.

But just don't be surprised if you find it to be a bit more challenging, as you get further from home. You'll have many stories to tell. Both good and bad. But even the bad ones, you'll be able to laugh about them someday. The really good news is that on your first trip, your new trailer works as it should. So your already ahead of the curve. That takes one big variable out of the equation.

Well, in 2007 I went to Ohio and back, in 2008 to upstate New York and back. So it's not exactly my first rodeo, just the first one in this trailer.

OK then. That explains why you were shocked, that this trip went so well.
