I see RV FOR SALE ads that advertise the RV comes with cable hook up, ads that say they come with a TV antenna, ads that say just "TV" and nothing about making it work!. I am sure most RV parks have cable available - do you need a special hook up to get it? Does the tv antenna work even if they don't have cable?
Thanks....

I think most RV's come with a place in the service bay for cable hook-up and a crank up antenna on the roof.

Older RVs may have an analog TV and if you used the antenna you will need the digital converter box. They should start showing up at flea markets now that all TVs are digital or you could just get a new digital TV for the RV. All RVs should have a regular coax input for cable TV at campgrounds. You will just need a 25 or 50 foot coax cable you can buy anywhere.

You may have to add an external cable. Our motor home had a Wineguard control box/amplifier by the TV, but was only connected to the antenna. I added an input cable and ran it back to the electrical hookup compartment, so I can connect to the pedestal at an RV Park, and I added another cable to the second TV connection and ran it to the bedroom. The control box had all of the connection points, and the manual explained what they were for.
