Hope someone can assist.
We just traded our 2005 PaceArrow in for a 2008 40x Discovery.
We loved ( sounds strange to say love about a toilet) our Tecma in the PaceArrow but we are unsure what model it was. Would like to see if we could get a similar model in the Disovery.
There is a LandSea in the motorhome now and we are not happy at all.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Tecma Silence Plus is a model made by Thetford.

I wish I didn't have this toilet..I like the thing but it is just something more to go wrong and to fill up a 40 gallon tank in less time because it uses too much water. In fact, the new Endeavors being built now with this same floor plan have a new black tank to accomodate a more conventional toilet.

I have one in my Pace. They are an expensive toilet, list around $1,000.
bullydogs, don't know if you're aware, but the water usage is adjustable, at least to a degree. There is a knob for that on ours, located on the backside of the small panel with the "flush" button on it, accessed under the sink.
Btw...I think they use the Techma because in our floor plan, the toilet is not located above the black tank, and the Techma's built-in macerator serves as a pump to get the waste ALL the way to the tank.

The Tecma is a Macerator pump toilet and it is used where the toilet is NOT located over the Black tank and needs to have the waste ground and pumped to the Black tank. Doug

We have a Tecma in our Dynasty. Nice appearance, no odor from tank and easy to keep clean. BUT: one huge water pig!! If you boondock this is the wrong toilet. One poster commented on the Sealand. This is one of the best in the market. What did you not like about that toilet??

We have the Tecma and like it, we have adjusted the water level and we also have two different size flushes, one for small stuff and one for the Pappa Bear...We are able to use ours about a week to 10days without dumping, with a little conservation we can go for 2weeks., is that about normal with the regular toilet? We usually do not use the Bath house toilets..

We too have a SeaLand (by Dometic)china bowl in our MH. Much better than the Thetford that we had in our gasser. In my opinion, the SeaLand is a higher quality toilet which is closer to the size of our toilet in our stick house so it just makes it feel a little more like home.
