The top hanging rails are not designed to handle the weight of the door when inside the pocket and you bounce down the road.

We bought some sticky-back industrial velcro and put half of it on the latch on the door and the other on the door jam and travel with the door closed.

Put a cross bolt in it. Take a small piece of aluminum square about 1" x 1" and drill hole in it the size of the barrel on the cross bolt.
Mount the cross bolt on the inside wall pointed toward the door and line up the hole in the striker you made and the screw the striker to the door. Positve lock and you do not have that goofy strap hanging there when the door is closed.

Ummm ?? I always travel with the pocket door locked in the OPEN position. That's what they told me when I bought the trailer.

The top rails are holding the total weight of the door open or closed! The latch doesn't take any weight off the rails.

If you travel with the pocket door open and unsecured, then you risk it sliding back and forth freely while on the road. It should be locked into position whether open or closed.
