The plastic strap that holds my pocket door back broke. I'll have to replace it with something or the door will slide out and/or jump of the track while I'm traveling.

Anyone have a good way of securing the door?

Make a new one using a short length of nylon webbing. Go to a fabric store for the webbing and a new snap. Snaps are easy to install.

You can get a snap kit like this with assorted snaps for under $10

We use a 6x6 piece of 1" foam stuffed in the crack. Works ok.

We use a rubber wedge type door stop and just kick it under the edge of the door.

Got an old belt lying around? A piece of belt would probably outlast the 5er. If yours is like ours it has one snap. Probably be able to get an upholstery shop to do one snap gratis. The other end should be a screw.

The sliding door in my 5th used a latch like a slide bar. They may be available in any hardware outlet.

I can fasten mine closed. It has velcro somewhere inside the pocket that engages when the door is fully opened, I don't trust it so just latch the door in the closed position.

Always close your pocket door and lock the latch while underway.

The top hanging rails are not designed to handle the weight of the door when inside the pocket and you bounce down the road.
