Based on experience who would you use as a good road side assistance provider in Canada.

We use Coach.Net, actually purchased it because we were headed to Alaska, 3 years ago. Have only had to use it once, they were excellent. Google, both, Good Sams and Coach.Net and I think you can make your decision from what each offers.

We have Coach Net and used it about 4 weeks ago when we had a flat near Thamesville. Tow truck on scene in less than 35 minutes and tire changed and finished in 50 minutes. This was on a Friday evening at 5:30pm, so I was impressed.

We have had the Explorer Club ERS service for over 10 years and they are impressive with their service. www.explorer-rvclub.com If you belong to the Explorer Club they have a great magazine that is truely Canadian in focus. It is worth you while to check them out.

Howdy!
We had GS ERS for years until they stiffed us on a break down on our tote in the Yukon. Cost us a $2,000.00 towing bill. Dropped GS and now have Coach Net.

Good to hear. I have CoachNet. Just re-up'd for 3 more years. Never used them, but have heard good things as you posted.

The positive comments about Coach-Net are certainly reassuring.....We recently switched after being informed that our previous plan through the CIBC bank was to be phased out. Glad they did, as Coach-Net pricing was better, and it didn't include the dreaded "HST or Harmonized Sales Tax" which has been instituted of late in Ontario and BC.

Just jumping on to confirm that either of the two will give better service results than the RV Plus offerred by CAA. The affilaites (AAA) aren't bound by any universal agreement to provide a "specialty" service for RV'er's so while you might think you have a service that will be "custom" for your RV with it's special needs, you will in fact be at the mercy of whatever the affilliate chooses to provide.
Eg: you have a trailer tire go and need something other than a "tow". You may very well end up with the dreaded "we provide a tow truck only, take it or leave it" and this comment comes while you're sitting there with a perfectly good tow vehicle already hooked to the trailer and your CAA RV-Plus card in your hand. The tow vehicle arrives and says "you don't need a tow truck you need a tire service vehicle"! Well Helloooo! All calls to the local office in Tulsa Ok resulted in them refusing to provide a tire service provider or even a phone number for one! A Canadian trucker parked beside me gave me the number of a tire service provider who arrived within 5 min's from around the corner from the F/J and had the thing changed in 15 min's.
I called CAA upon my return to Canada and complained about this and was told "we're sorry we cannot stipulate the provisions of our affilliate", to which my response was: "then you should not be selling an RV-Plus package with the claim that it is good throughout the continental U.S.A.".
Today is just the tomorrow you worried about yesterday!
