I have a 2001 Bounder motorhome on a Ford chassis. Would a Trik-l-start help keep the chassis battery charged?? If so can I connect to the the battery control center? I have a Trik-l-start I took off a diesel motorhome with a solenoid betweem the batteries. Would I be able to connect to the chassis and house battery terminals on the control center. I do not have instruction on how to install. I would appreciate any assistance.

Maybe their website has instructions. I'm sure somebody will chime in that has the knowhow.

Your Bounder already has circuitry to keep the house battery charged when hooked to shore power and when the engine is running........if that is not happening then you have something broken......

X2 - The solenoid switch that does the hookup for the batteries is in the BCC. They are known for poor contact problems. The replacement that will work for years is BWD S603 from O'Riely Auto Stores. It has silver plated contacts. I know I don't spell very well, but you get the message....

Yes, the circuitry keeps both sets of batteries charged regardless of whether you are driving, plugged into shore power or running the generator.......

Under the hood of your coach in a black box there is a circuit board......that circuit board may have gone bad.......mine went bad a few years back......cost was about $130.00........when mine went bad my house batteries were being charged but my chassis battery was not being charged......after about 2-3 weeks of not being driven the chassis battery was too weak to start the engine......

Go over to the Bounder Yahoo group and look for a guy named Bud Weisbrod.......he has a document that expalins how to check that circuit board.......and if it is bad he can sell you one or tell you were to buy one.......http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bounder

I concur with 96Bounder30E, except I believe you BCC has the relays behind the circuit board.
