We are hoping for some help finding a nice place near Tucson Az. We are looking at Beaudry Rv Resort off I-10 or in Benson a place called Butterfield Rv Park. Both places seem to have the basics we desire meaning cable wifi, and full hookups. Beaudry looks like it might have road noise off I-10, but in RV Park reviews this has not been discussed.
We would appreciate your advice. This will be our first time out west, and we found the forum to be extremely helpful.

We have made reservations near Mesa, and Yuma, our plan is to stay a month in each area, Tucson to be the last stop before slowly heading home. Thanks for helping!

we found this place earlier this year. we were only there for a couple days, but it looked like a pretty good place to winter. it's near Vail, close to shopping, but out in the country.

Butterfield Rv Park in Benson is a real nice park, BUT...It will be cooler/colder than the Tucson area. You need to look at elevation in AZ for warmth. Then South. Benson would be great in the spring.

I have stayed at Beaudry in the past. Its not really a "snowbird" park with activities and socializing. Its mostly a paved park with fairly large sites and a really nice pool. Its also in a fairly decent location near the two freeways. This year they have monthly rates which look pretty decent. There are less expensive parks in the area. Desert Pueblo on Ajo way is an attractive alternative. It doesnt have WiFi but the libray is less than a mile away. Both of these parks are conveniently located. Cactus Country is a long ways out in my opinion. There are several other parks in Tucson that suffer from being next to the interstate. The only first class Snowbird RV resort in Tucson is Voyager with 1500+ sites.

Butterfield is a well kept, well equipped park...all asphalt/gravel as I recall, which is the norm for the SouthWest....small trees. Be prepared for train noise unless the locals have prevailed on the railroad to limit train horn usage...be ready to hear the horn at all hours....it is a very busy east/west rail line.

Thanks for the heads up on Butterfield and Beaudry. With cable being available would that mean they have cable internet? We have been to places that didn't have wifi but at a cost internet could be added with cable. Just wondering if they would have that?? That Desert Pueblo looks like it would work. Does anyone have any information on Rincon Country West or East, or Western Way ?
Again thank you for your advice! We trying not to have another bad experience! We want to be booked by Monday.

Have been at rallies at Butterfields, Beaudry and Rincon West. Butterfields was nice in the overnight spots, but the week or longer sites were gravel and not pull through. We enjoyed the park and the area, but the train noise was loud and constant. Not somewhere we would rate all that high because of that train being so close and running so often. The park was clean and well run when we were there. Beaudry has a nice place, larger sites, very level and very clean. The area was nice and the park has a great place to eat on the grounds. Camping World is at the entrance. We never found the road noise to be a hindrance. Rincon seems to be a very nice place for the winter visitors. Sites were larger at Beaudry. Butterfields will probably be cooler than either of the other parks in the winter months.

Desert Pueblo is nice and the rates are really attractive. Kind of a secret. The spaces are big because they are set up to accomodate double wide homes. There really isnt much of a winter social calendar and a lot of the residents are year round. The sites are pretty nices with trees around most of them.

Western RV I havent stayed there but have looked at it a couple of times. Its more money than the Pueblo and they have a social calendar for snowbirds. The sites are smaller. Some have trees and vegetation but as I recall there are quite a few that arent as nice as some of the spots. The grocery store is several miles away. The main reason to stay at Western Way would be for the social activities.

Last time I was in Tucson was 2 years ago in December. The temps were routinely in the mid and even low 20's. You could probably subtract another four degrees for Benson. After one month I was happy to leave and find warmer temperature in the Anza Borrego desert.

Thank you all, for your help! We now have reservations at Canyon Vistas Mesa, CoCopah Yuma, and Rincon west Tucson. There was a couple first choices that were already booked. Being our first time in that area we are really looking foward to our new adventure!
