Hi Heather66...RV Parks can be like anything else...good and bad. Typically you can get a good idea based upon the condition of the facilities and the RVs using the ground. If things look run down...move on.
Typically campgrounds are very cheap when compared to renting a house, apartment, etc.
The people are usually very friendly and trustworthy...but you still need to use wisdom. My laptop battery is dying so...gotta run.

RVing will change your life for sure. Some parks are safer than others and some have monthly/yearly rates. Cost and type of RV should be considered after you learn more about the lifestyle ...they are many experience people here who can offer info from their experiences. Take what you need, leave the rest. Take your time and go slowly if you can.
It will be there when you get there. Best Wishes
wayne

Some good, some not. Forever, depends, ask rates in parks where you want to be, sure.

Got a buddy down in Texas that gets electric, water, sewer, trash pickup, grounds maintenance once a week, in a pecan orchard for 300 a month. Lots of shade and good neighbors. Hows that?

I don't think you would find a Class B as something you would want to fulltime in unless you are going to travel all of the time. If you are going to stay put in one place for an extended period of time then maybe a travel trailer or 5th wheel trailer would be a better match.

What kind of changes are you looking for? If you give us better information we can give you more of an idea of things that other people do and do not find works for them.

A class B is probably going to be too small for comfort. Do a lot of reading here first and formulate how you want to live and plan accordingly. Good luck on your pursuit.

Class B no thanks, but rv parks can vary from nasty to beautiful. It just depends what you want to pay.We are currently on the high side untill the wife decides to retire(soon I hope).Once she does back to the less expensive parks for us(but not nasty). So for our $650 a month we have full hookups with 50amp, cable tv, wifi all included with a spring fed lake to fish or swim and pool to swim in and easy access for the wifes job.For half that price there is a nasty park one mile away with no amenities and rotten rv's full of white trash for a view.Just giving you the full spectrum.

We full-time in a 19' travel trailer and do just fine. Sure, we have less floor space than the folks in a 40' Class A but we don't mind. We spend more time outside than inside unless weather is bad and we have all the comforts we need... full size walk-around queen bed, kitchen, dinner table and comfy chairs (yanked the dinette out), a full kitchen, full bathroom and even color TV!

If you want to full-time in a Class B, go for it. Just because it may not be good for someone else, doesn't mean it isn't good for you.

RV parks vary in quality so choose wisely before paying for a long term stay. Rates also range from very affordable to "are you kidding me?". Check around, read reviews and do the best you can based on what info you can find.
