I installed PdaNet on my IMac and can see the icon with a red x meaning it is not connected. When I click on the icon to connect I get the message "Phone Not Detected".
Phone is connected with usb, I turned on debugging on the Droid X and also turned on the PdaNet tether feature
Specialized question hoping someone can help....waiting for June Fabrics to see if they can help
I am sure it is somethjng small but what?

If you have airport on it will not connect,it puts a virtual ethernet in your network settings. If airport is on and you have system preferences for network in auto it will choose airport.

Set up the phone as a USB modem. Read this on the Droid forums.

Just got PdaNet working.....when Droid X is hooked up to the computer via usb cable on the phone I had to select mass storage after pulling the usb symbol down on the home page...it works great by the way.....I'll pat myself on the back for finding the answer on a droid forum after quite a bit of hunting....
