I wanted to know what length hose you use with your weber?, Not talking about the portable tanks, I have a built in bulk tank and would like to have a longer hose. I cannot locate a 20' hose, that is what I would like to have.
I know that the regulator is on the grill now and I would like to know the best way to connect, do I get the hose with the adaptor on it to fit the cannister type or should I install a regulator on the tank end and remove the regulator on the grill...I do not use the small 1-lb cans., even though I do like to disconnect the hose and that makes it pretty easy.. Where to purchase a 20' Hose with the adaptor?

Any rv dealer/shop should have a 20' hose. I have one to run off the mh tank but also use a 4' to a 20# tank for my Q.
I left the regulator on the grill and just use the hose to either my 20# tank or to the fitting that is installed ahead of the regulator on my MH tank.

The longest mass produced LP hose is 12 feet long. That is what my Parts Manager told me. You can have a 20 foot LP hose made up, possibly by a hardware store or a full service LP company.
I fulltimed for 3.5 years. She Who Must Be Obeyed and I workcamped around the country. We stayed in one place for 3 to 6 months. I hated the idea of breaking camp to go and fill my onboard LP tank. Plus, the tank was on the driver's side, not the patio side.
so, I added an Extend-A-Stay kit and a 20lb LP bottle that I could detach and refill easily. I just shut off the onboard tank while stationary.
I bought a 2nd 10lb LP tank for my Weber Q200 grill.
I was a happy camper with both tanks.

We did the same thing. Installed the fitting before the regulator on our trailer so we didn't have to take off the regulator on the grill (as we use it at home too). Love our Baby Q!!!
When we got our 4 foot hose I was thinking there would be a huge waste of gas if we were to get a longer one. But, I would love a longer hose so that I wasn't doing the grilling right at the front of the TT. Any opinions on length?

The LP supply places should be able to make you a hose of any length you want…

Amazon sells a #6501 Weber 6' hose extension but I have not seen longer ones. Might be a safety issue. Check with your propane distributor

I use an extend-a-stay on the tank on my HTT. I simply screw two 8 ft. lengths of hose together if necessary. This seems to work great.

I like to be out from under the awning when grilling (especially when the rv windows are open), so that is the length that suits me.

I have tried several places, no luck, I have a huge bulk tank and only have to fill about once a year, I really don't want to haul another tank and then have to refill it when needed.
I cannot find the LP hose anywhere in bulk lenghts, I would make my own if I could locate the hose. I understand that it is about 3000lb psi? I do know that some use a simple air hose, I don't think that it is rated high enough for propane use, especially high pressure propane., that is why I was thinking of moving the regulator to the tank instead of on the grill...I also did not want to use 2 different hose connected together if I could find a 20' length...any more help out there?

I went to a propane dealer (ProFlame) and ordered a 15' with a quick disconnect for the tank connection. Cost me just under $50 which I thought was high but while it's longer than the 12 footer that I got from Camping World it stores better in the Webber Q.
Just wish I ordered it for 25'.
