Sounds like I got a few options on this. For the time being, I'll throw an extra 20 lb bottle I have into the rig and use the standard fittings. I'll also keep my eye out for the fittings to bi-pass the Weber regulator if that looks better for a long term fix.

Also, thanks for warning me about the grill coating.

We use a quick connect on our Travel Travel directly to our BabyQ and it works just fine. I know some say that you will have to regulators and it won't work, but ours does. We have used it for 4 years and cook everything on it just fine.

Your quick disconect must be before the split at your tanks because having two regulators will cause too little pressure for the Q.

Nope - T'd off of the line to the hot water tank. I know people say it won't work , flame too low, but I know it does for us. I grill steaks to baking a chicken. There is nothing I can't cook on it.
