I am getting interested in B+ MH's, specifically the later model R-vision 251. If anyone has any experience with them lately, I would love to hear all about them. (I saw the mega- pages thread on the 221, and that may be of some help, too). Of particular interest is the quality of build, and whether or not they have enough power to tow a ton of boat over mountains. Thanks for sharing any experience with them. john

Yhat long thread has a lot of details about that model, but generally, what has been said of any TL model, quality and performance isresonant with all the models. Pretty well made, and probably all the power you are looking for.
It is too bad you cannot search within a long thread. Perhaps a google search of RV.ney + B+ Motorhomes + 251. I know CharlesOK had one and said a lot on the thread about its details.

Thanks, both, for the replies. I have seen one on eBay that may warrant a bid. Glad Ed's beast is working out for the +. john

Thanks. I will dig into that "book" of info. I did not read enough to know the 251 was discussed in there. john

jklingel - The following "message authors" have or currently do own the model 251. AggieDad, Br-, CharlesOK, ehearn, jackb, karebear, Liz and Bryan, lone-ranger, Mainer1, Marcellissimo, and mpatrick2. I know from experience that many owners only posted once or twice and then found other interests.

Hi - Here is a copy of one of my earlier posts about our TL-251.
----------------------
RE: R-Vision Trail-Lite 251 B+ feedback wanted
Hi- We put 135K miles on our 91 Roadtrek - then traded it in on a new 2005 TL-251 with the 6 liter chev engine. We had many problems with the TL - due to poor construction and cheap materials. A few examples - 1)The wooden part of the fridge door pulled loose and slid down to the floor 2)The water lines to the water heater leaked and water flooded the floor 3)The shower/tub surround separated from the wall and had to be re-glued 4)The retractable step did not retract and we scraped a curb. 5)The screws holding the outside door hinges pulled out and had to be replaced. We fixed these (and other) problems - some under warranty - some not and had no problems on our last trip. The rear bed is hard to make and not easy to get in/out from the outer side. On the plus side - the 6 liter Chev has plenty of power and we get over 11 mpg if we stay under 65 mph. I think R-Vision has probably corrected many of the problems that we had. Due to health issues we have just started traveling again and turned 10k miles on our last trip. Final Answer: For the money I think the TL-251 is a great choice. Hope this helps. Ed

The above "post" is old - here is an up-date-
We are still having problems finding time to travel - now have about 12K miles on the TL-251. Most of the issues mentioned above have not returned and we are pleased with the power and mpg of the Chevy. We have never pulled anything so I don't know how towing a boat would effect the performance.
