Have to agree on the best bang for the buck , have a 2008 3400RL, to date no problems, other than peeling graphics. I have it parked in a little RV site about 30 miles from West Yellowstone, and will be there for two months, very comfortable to live in for a extended period of time.

We just picked up our new Montana 3750FL. My DW and I are thrilled with it. We have been busy giving it a good pre-flight function check before we take it out. I really like the convenience of the remote control, it operates the slides and front jacks/rear stabilizers. I can't bring myself to say we are going camping in this rig. I think the dealer was right to say it's not camping... it's RVing.

I like the Montana mountaineer models because they have family friendly floorplans. One thing I noticed is that keystone is terrible at customer service when it relates to potential customers calling them for information. In addition keystone should differentiate the Montana line with a better warranty then one year. If it were my money I would at least peak at other brands that have better warranties.

I agree with Mwebber78 the customer service at Keystone is awfull. We had a Montana Mountaineer 3600RL and when we had storm damage it took our dealer over a week to even get a reply for replacements parts and prices. Sometimes he was on the phone on hold for hours just get to talk to someone.Plus the shop was sent the wrong replacement parts further delaying it from getting the work completed. We were going to trade it for a 2010 Keystone Montana 3400 RL, until we started looking at other lines of campers and comparing and found we ot more bang for our buck with the Heartland product as well as wonderful customer service, they take care of their customer because they want your business for years to come.

Despite what I wrote earlier in this thread, we've had some (minor) problems with the Mountaineer . . . nothing I couldn't fix, and frankly, I'd rather fix things myself. Too many issues over the years in stick homes, cars, etc have caused me to conclude that many "fixes" result in more problems. I maintain that you need to be a handyman (or woman!) if you are going to camp, and that goes all the way down to pop-ups and maybe even even tents!

Speaking of camping, or RVing, several people have commented that our Mountaineer is in many ways, nicer than their home!

We just purchased our first Montana on July 1. We could not be happier about the purchase. Great dealer and yes it is probably the best value out there. The remote control setup is very cool too. Wife likes the central vac and convection oven.

On the other hand we have always received excellent service from Keystone customer service. The service center in Goshen is outstanding. When we need repairs done on the road we call keystone customer service and they find us a dealer or repair facility. They have never let us down.

I have no idea why keystone Montana has been the #1 best selling 5t wheel for 8 years with the reported bad customer service and dealerships.

Market saturation and perceived popularity and ease of sale through numerous Internet volume dealerships?

I know I like them despite the few negatives I mentioned in my previous posting.

Have not been in that many so have no opinion on good or bad, but our experience this spring in a round trip from ME to Colorado and New Mexico mimics that of LindanMick. The most often spotted rv by far was Montana. Got no horse in the race, and my philosophy is "whatever floats your boat"....Good Traveling
