I definitely agree with this. An active owners forum makes customers happier and is great marketing. Companies such as Crossroads which tie their owners forums to their company websites, and put up lengthy barriers to forum registration, shoot themselves in the foot.

I have an '08 and love it. I agree with the best bang for the buck theory.

Montana division of Keystone has only been around since 1999.Montana division has been the best selling 5th wheel for 8 consecutive years.
IMO Montana is a mid level 5th wheel. the term" best bang for the buck" is how most of us Montana owners refer to it.

The Montana "mountaineer Edition" also makes TT's.
We longtime in our 06 3400 and it has not been without problems but it has served us well.

Mine has been a great unit. Excellent service out of it and I live in it full time and for the most part stationary for 2 years now. If I had to do it all over again I'd have spent a little more dinero and bought a Carriage Carri-lite but I have not one negative thing to say about my Montana. Only thing is I wish the front living room floor plan(3750 I believe) would have been around when I bought mine. I really like that floor plan.

We looked at the Montana's (plus many others) but decided to buy a 2011 Brookstone 367RL by Cardinal. We liked the layout better than the Montana.

FYI Brookstone is not a Forest River (Cardinal) product.

usnret, you might want to re-check that. It is a Coachmen product which is a division of Forest River. Either way it is irrelevant to this thread.

Maybe you saw ours! We have a 2010 Montana Mountaineer, drove over 5,000 miles from So. Indiana to Yellowstone, Tetons, Mt. Rushmore, and other lesser places, just got back after 3 weeks of travel, far and away our longest trip to date.

Very pleased with our Mountaineer. Still learning the finer points.

After that whole trip, the only problem needing fixing was the wire I ran from a rear video camera through the storage area got wrapped around the rotating shaft that goes between the two front leveling devices, necessitating a couple hours of splicing and re-routing. Note that it was my fault, not Keystone's.

I thought that was you. We wanted to go to the Tetons but ran short on time. Maybe next year. When we bought our 5th wheel, it was one of those, we walk in and say this is it. So far so good.

Happy camping
