Chuck, thanks. The smaller one is a '90, the bigger one is a '96. Both have all the interior amenities and appliances I want, with the exception of AC, which I can add later myself. I do like the newer one, but I'm really leaning towards nothing more than 8' long. I have found another camper, that seems to be a happy medium between the two. Pic It's an 8' Angler. The interior looks brand new. As you can see my budget isn't all that high. This last one I found is a bit over my budget, but I bet they would go down a bit. It's also a '96. A new truck is on the horizon, and I'd prefer not to splurge on a spendy camper now. I want to get into it and and learn a few things before I go all out.
Dome, I've seen your setup. I think I've even seen it in person, can't remember for sure. This is Dave/PhatYJ, Moses Lake. You're not making my decision easier I'm just worried about overdoing it. My YJ is a heavy pig.

I had this same set up on a 96 Dodge 3/4 ton two wheel drive, it had air bags, it handled the trailer and camper just fine. My Jeep and trailer weigh in at 58 hundred pound. (Maybe a bit more ) The Jeep needs a diet too.

My YJ is right at 4300 unloaded. I need to get rid of my beadlocks and Toyo's. The combo is way too heavy. I'm thinking of ditching the beadlocks for some regular aluminum 8" wheels, and regular 37x12.5 tires like the good ol days.
I may just keep looking for a little while. I realise now my truck needs some work before I can just run out and pickup a camper. I can build all the brackets at work, and I'm thinking I should do that first. I also planned on going with airbags, and I might do those first too.
