Past by a Horse Trailer for sale. Couldn't believe how nice it looked outside. Did not see the intereor but it had two Air Conditioning units. Must be pampered horses. Anyway we were talking and wondered if that could be something that could be converted to a Toy Hauler. At first I thought it to be silly, but maybe not???

No. Your idea is not silly. We though about the same thing when we purchased our last trailer (although we were looking at new.) Actually, it would be easy to do. Just remove the horse stalls, give it a REALLY good interior bath and you'd have an instant garage. Some of those horse trailers are really nice!

"We pasted one on the road" Did it hurt? Sorry, couldn't resist.

Nice rig but I would need a goose neck or 5er with factory living quarters.

There are horse trailers that have living quarters, horse toyhauler. We past one on the road and my thoughts were how easy it would be to convert one of these horse toyhaulers to a toy toyhauler. The size made it more reasonable for boondocking & narrow back roads. I can guarantee you they are better built!

I bet they are made a lot stronger then a typical TH(the floor portion)..I'm not certain of this its just my thought?I think it's a good idea if the price is right, and the openings are large enough?

I think it's a silly idea .. why would you want something sturdy and well built when you can have an RV?

Jim...pretty much the same for a 2-horse rig....same springs/axles....floor & floor cross members are heavier--walls are a bit taller than mine---but not by much! Best part of mine is it's just over a foot taller than the TV-cap---very little wind resistance....AND, the axles are further aft which tows WAY nicer (as long as the built-ins and load are balanced)...I don't use any WD or sway with mine---even with two bikes onboard.

Not silly at all! I tried to talk DH into a gooseneck LQ horse trailer, that way I could go horse camping, and we could use it for the quads. Long story, but we now have the TH and a seperate horse trailer.

The only problem might be if the horse trailer has a rear tack room, that could limit the handlebar width for loading. Some horse trailers have swing-out tack rooms, which could work. You would also want a ramp load.
