Based on our latest info, Llano park is ok with little if any real damage to any sites in the park.

Pics that I saw show water lapping at the Llano golf shop door, and likely water inside. Other than the course itself, the maintenance shop has what looks like water 2-3 ft deep running thru it,,

Any word on how the folks at Retama are doing? Hoping they are protected enough. Really feel for the flooding victims. Terry is on the phone to friends about our place.

Although I didn't drive through, I believe Retama is just fine. I just came by there about 30 minutes ago.

Thanks, MoRambler. I think the park (Bentsen) is flooded, but the levee is between them and the park, so hopefully all is well.

Is the flooding just in specific areas around Mission or in the town itself? We are scheduled to spend the winter, beginning in October, at Mission Bell RV Resort. Is there flooding near there?

Just specific areas. The best thing to do is call the specific park and get an update on the situation.

I'm sure Mission Bell is not affected by the river flooding. If they are having problems, it would be from the rainfall that has occurred, but I haven't heard. Our park is closer to the River, but no problems.

Have you stayed at Mission Bell before?

We have not stayed at Mission Bell before. Last winter was our first in a motorhome and we were at Mesa Spirit in Mesa, Arizona. We are officially full timers this week.

No problems at Mission Bell. It's a looong way from the areas affected by the flooding. It's just those areas adjacent to the Rio Grande that are affected. And those that are on the WRONG side of the levees. With the additional height added to the levees in the last year, it would be extremely difficult for anyone on the north side of the levees to experience problems. At least in the areas where the levees were raised.
