If you like the CC go for it. I wouldn't be concerned over a good quality orphan, but then again I purchased my Travel Supreme last year (another orphan coach).

I have owned several orphans and wouldn't hessitate for a second to purchase the CC. Too many individuals put way too much emphasis on not owning an orphan. I would pick the coach that you like that has the options/floorplan/chassis that you like and go for it. Mike.

Why would you think a Country Coach is an orphan? Country Coach is still in business and only sells factory direct. They offer tech support and parts are available though a third party vendor. CC may not make the model you're looking at, but that's so with most of the builders.

Not sure where you got your info from but CC is gone. A Judge ordered CC into chapter 11 last year in November 2009. See this link http://special.registerguard.com/csp/cms........eb/news/cityregion/23693918-41/story.csp
I think Howard still owns the name Country Coach and he has opend an new service facility where he and former CC employees perform paid service an CC's

If the deal is good and the coach has been well maintained then the CC is the superior motorhome and I like Dutchstars. They are just not in the same league with the Allure.
Country Coach is gone. Their bankruptcy was converted from chapter 11 to chapter 7 and their assets were sold at auction. The Lee family purchased the name & intellectual property at the auction but they have made no move to revive the business.

After owning a couple, I am very biased toward Newmar. I like their construction methods, but this time I might would take the Country Coach. I normally would not recommend an orphaned coach (I had one once and that was enough for me) --- but a Country Coach (if it has been taken care of) might really tempt me to ignore my reservations at owning another orphan.

I would have worried about about an orphan... but now I think it is not that much of an issue. Hey you might get dinged on some repair someday but if you bring it to top of the line shops they can fix about anything.
Heck your not that far from Nacogdoches, TX and I bet Foretravel could fix anything and everything on a Country Coach.
