Thanks to all for your help. I passed all the info on to DH including the info from the links and he had decided he is not going to tackle it after all. He didn't want to use the magnetic type lights so is going to have someone do the wiring for him. I think the dire warning scared him off. LOL
He did get the base plate installed and the braking system moved from our other toad, so 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
